In an ideal world, I would focus my learning plan just around what I want to learn about — but since I signed up for the WSET Level 2 exam, I figure it’s a good idea to start off with what I know will be one the exam. Which means studying this guy:
According to their website, everything I need to know to pass the exam is found right here in this book. So this book will be how I actually carry out my studies.
Here’s what I’m doing:
- Reading each chapter
- Recording audio versions of each chapter to listen to in the car, while running, etc.
- Making Quizlets
- Every once in a while, I’ll put together a quiz on this blog
I’m also meeting with a wine study group, even though each of us is studying for a different exam. It helps us share ideas, discuss what we’ve learned, and more importantly, TASTE the wine together!
Have you taken or are you planning to take any wine certification courses? What study tips or tricks work for you?
